Voor zover ik (uit betrouwbare bron) vernomen heb doet 't wat moet doen (en ook iets sneller dan 4.0).

Bugs Corrected in the Lightroom 4.1 Release Candidate

The following bugs that were part the Lightroom 4 releases have been corrected. The team appreciates the very detailed feedback the community has provided on Lightroom 4 and we’re excited to correct a number of issues experienced by our customers. These issues have been FIXED:

Point Curve adjustments made in Lightroom 3 and before have been restored.
Lightroom 4 did not properly open external applications when using the “Edit In” functionality.
Addressed performance issues in Lightroom 4, particularly when loading GPS track logs, using a secondary monitor, and the controls within the Develop module.
Ability to update DNG previews and metadata for more than 100 photos has been restored.
This update allows for improved viewing of subfolders and stacks in folders with a large number of photos.
It was possible that a layout of a saved book could be lost after quitting Lightroom 4.

4.1 installeert OVER 4.0 heen.

Een RC van Adobe is meestal gelijk aan de uiteindelijke versie, maar nog nooit zijn database-conversies nodig geweest. Maw: mi veilig om te installeren. Dit is me door meerdere LR fanaten bevestigd en ik merk zelf geen problemen.

Nu kan ik het eens testen zonder allerhande zaken in te moeten vullen of een account bij Adobe aan te maken.
Is hier niet nodig.

RC 4.1 heeft nogal wat problemen. Er is blijkbaar meer stukgemaakt dan opgelost.

Ik heb (zonder succes) geprobeerd terug te gaan naar versie 4.

Dus ehhh, NIET naar 4.1RC gaan .....

Wat gaat er dan mis?
Ik heb de 64bit versie er op staan. Moet er nog mee spelen.

I have several issues with 4.1RC, thought id pass them on in case anyone else has these issues.

Command + Z no longer undoes the last adjustment.
Using quick develop in Grid View with all images selected and clicking the WB warmer button once, many images were then set with the WB sliders hard left so looked very green !
While background jobs like sync settings run, I can no longer continue working as there is no image on the screen until the update finishes.
The import dialog came up twice for no apparent reason.
Thumbnails are taking ages to update.

Heb 4.0 inmiddels terug: 4.1RC gewoon deïnstallleren en 4.0 opnieuw installeren.Phew, catalogus is ok.

Maar zo'n bericht (dat niet alleen staat) laat mij al gauw weer afzien van de beta-escapade, ZEKER met zo'n kwetsbaar systeem als de LR catalog.
