Nikon D3100 Kit Autofocus?

Hi all

This is my first post in this forum. I was thinking of buying Nikon D3100 Kit but i read in the Internet that D3100 doesnt have inbuilt autofocus and it depends on the lens for autofocus. Will autofocus work with the lens provided in the basic kit - 18-55mm DX? http://www.bcc.nl/nikon-d3100-incl-18-5 ... ctief.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Also i just moved to Amsterdam from another continent and will be doing a lot of travelling all around Europe for quite some time and taking photos. Is Nikon D3100 + kit lens a good option for that? This is my first SLR camera and i was using Coolpix before this. Suggestions are welcome

Yes autofocus works. All Nikon lens types with AFS in front of the specs will work on the 3100.
