Hi all

This is my first post in this forum. I was thinking of buying Nikon D3100 Kit but i read in the Internet that D3100 doesnt have inbuilt autofocus and it depends on the lens for autofocus. Also i just moved to Amsterdam from another continent and will be doing a lot of travelling all around Europe for quite some time and taking photos. Is Nikon D3100 + kit lens a good option for that? This is my first SLR camera and i was using Coolpix before this. Suggestions are welcome

Yes autofocus works. All Nikon lens types with AFS in front of the specs will work on the 3100.

Welcome. And yes, the D3100 is a nice starter camera you can expand with more lenses as you go
