Ik word helemaal stil van de foto na de tekst "How do you define photojournalism" (zoek met Ctrl-f).

Overigens zegt hij dat hij in zijn journalistieke foto's niets bewerkt behalve tegenhouden en doordrukken, maar deze foto is dan waarschijnlijk niet journalistiek.

Conclusie van de auteur:
I think this camera has received a fair amount of negative press for action photography because it only shoots 5-6 frames per second. Maybe for some pros and types of shooting this will be a major limitation, and they need that amazing (and more expensive!) D4. But, for the photographer who wants an awesome camera for a variety of genres, including sports, the D800 is quite capable. You might have to alter your shooting technique to accommodate the nuances of the camera, like I did, but, in the end, it’s well worth the effort.

Dat zijn érg mooie platen, die inderdaad te denken geven.
Wel is het zo dat je voor springen een vrij ruime mogelijkheid hebt om te anticiperen, plus dat paardensport zijn specialisme is.
Het viel me trouwens op dat alle foto's gemaakt zijn met 1/501 sec op f/4, behalve eentje: met f/4,5.

Prachtige foto's Marten! Heb mijn D800 vandaag ontvangen en deze geweldige camera kan aankomende week gelijk flink aan de bak in IJsland. Ik ga alle tips en trucs er nog eens rustig op nalezen!

Zelf ben ik er geen voorstander van om de instellingen op je camera van een ander over te nemen. Je leert je eigen camera het beste kennen door het zelf uit te zoeken. Maar vergelijken kan wel zinvol zijn.
