How to uninstall Analog Efex Pro 1
After my Nik Collection was upgraded to include Analog Efex Pro 2, I now see Analog Efex Pro twice in the list. How do I remove the old Analog Efex Pro?
Since Analog Efex Pro 2 is a new plug-in, the previous version of Analog Efex Pro remains after a Nik Collection update. But, as Analog Efex Pro 2 has more features than the first version, you will probably not want to use Analog Efex Pro 1 any longer. A quick manual uninstall will permanently remove Analog Efex Pro 1, so please follow the steps below:
Macintosh:
To uninstall on the Macintosh OS, first make sure all programs are close. Open your Applications and go to the Nik Collection folder. Delete the Analog Efex Pro folder from this location. If you own Photoshop, please also delete the Analog Efex Pro folder from Applications>Photoshop>Plug-ins>Google. If you own Aperture, also delete the Analog Efex Pro folder from Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Aperture > Plug-ins > Google.
Windows:
To uninstall on the Windows OS, first make sure all programs are closed. Open the C: Drive, then delete the Analog Efex Pro folder from C:\Program Files\Google\Nik Collection. If you own Photoshop, please also delete the Analog Efex Pro folder from C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop xx\Plug-ins\Google\.
Note for Lightroom Users:
After Analog Efex Pro is removed from the computer, it may still appear in your Lightroom plug-ins list. To remove it, open Lightroom, then open Lightroom's Preferences. Open the External Editor tab, and select Analog Efex Pro from the Preset drop-down menu. Then, re-open the Preset drop-down menu and select 'Delete preset "Analog Efex Pro."'
