Melding R08 op Nikon D7000

Kan (en wil) iemand mij informeren over de betekenis van de melding R08 op mijn Nikon D7000? Ik weet dat het te maken heeft met de opnamesnelheid van de camera, maar kom niet verder.
In ieder geval is de camera opvallend "traag". Hoe los ik dat op?

The “rXX” count displayed on the top LCD is an estimate of the number of frames that the camera’s buffer can record without writing any to the memory card. It’s only an estimate because the size of a compressed JPEG file varies due to camera settings and subject matter.

Since the camera actually writes to the card at the same time as it is shooting the actual number of frames is more (many more in some cases) than the buffer capacity alone.

For example: If the camera’s LCD (when half pressed) indicates “r21” and you begin shooting a continuous sequence as you shoot the images are recorded to the buffer and then to the card. If 21 images are shot the first 10, for example, may be moved from the buffer to the card so the actual “r” number would only decrease from 21 to 11 and your total continuous burst would be more than the initial 21 estimate.

Since the actual number of frames which can be recorded in Continuous mode varies with the card speed the camera cannot display the actual total burst number and simply displays the buffer capacity.

Ben je meerdere opnames vlak na elkaar aan het maken? De camera heeft een beperkte buffer (opslagcapaciteit) van je gemaakte foto's.
Als de buffer vol zit moet de camera wachten op het wegschrijven naar de memory card dan krijg je een melding R08.
Oplossing: snellere memory card nemen of even wachten tussen de opnames. Of even een ander kaartje testen (voor als je huidige kaartje stuk is).

Bedankt voor de reactie, Robert. Ik begrijp wat je aangeeft, maar ik ben er nog niet uit, want de melding is constant zichtbaar in de display als ik de ontspanner half indruk. Ook als de instelling S is gekozen. Dus niet CL of CH. Is dat normaal? Het was me niet eerder opgevallen.

Heb je al een ander kaartje geprobeerd Henk? Dat zou ik als eerste proberen.

re: melding is constant zichtbaar
Volgens het handboek moet dat ook, onafhankelijk van de cl/ch stand.
De bedoeling van Nikon is dat men (op het punt staande één of meer fotos te maken) geïnformeerd wordt hoeveel er nog in de buffer passen.
Het getal dat getoond wordt is afhankelijk van het bestands-type en de vulling van de buffer.
